Through the Mighty Waters

We all want to believe that by following the "straight and narrow path" that our lives will be free from hardships but we also know that God has told us we will have trouble. We will face dark times that challenge and test us. We will come against trials and wonder how we will make it through.

God told Moses to lead his people out of Egypt, away from Pharaoh and the slavery they were in. The came to the Red Sea and saw the army approaching closely. They had to bravely follow the path God set before them through the sea with the waters on either side.

There will be times when the path we are on will seem scary or even impossible to travel. We may not realize how God is using these circumstances for good and at times we may wonder if He is even with us through them. But He is. He will never leave us, nor forsake us. His footprints may not be seen but He is there directing our path as we submit to Him.

I want to face all situations, especially those that are unnerving or intimidating knowing that the God of the universe has called me to walk that path. I need to believe that He is leading me through the sea, the mighty waters, the wilderness, or the desert and even if I can't comprehend why, that there is a reason and He is with me through it all.

I'm linking this up over at Kate Motaung's for Five Minute Friday. Every week a one-word writing prompt is given and writers have five minutes to share.

This is meant to be a free write, which means: no editing, no over-thinking, no worrying about perfect grammar or punctuation.
